Davina Moss

Davina has been making her presence felt this summer in Ibiza, by providing support to some of the hottest parties around. Davina also made her maiden appearance for Jamie Jones’ ‘Paradise’ party this summer, which has been a firm fixture in the party calendar over the last couple of years. Her previous releases can be found on labels such as Natural Rhythm, Upon.You Records and Hot Creations sister label Hot Trax.

Please, could you start by tell us a bit about yourself, and how you first got into djing and producing’

Hi! My name is Davina, I originally come New Caledonia in France, but I am now living in Ibiza. I began to start making music in the year 2000 using a number of different alias’, and with totally a different direction to what I’m doing today. Making music was an obsession of mine, I had a real passion and loved the fact that I was able to create more. Firstly, I am a music and party lover, so producing and djing became natural to me.

What would you say is your biggest achievement to date’

I think my biggest achievement to date would have to be my releases on Hot Creations and Hot Trax. I am extremely proud and excited to final get my full debut release in December. One of the proudest moments would have to be when I attended DC-10 to watch Jamie Jones playing some of my tracks.

You make your debut on Hot creations later this month, and what a weapon it is. Could you talk us through your thought process for the EP’

I made the Ep in different parts throughout the year. It all depended on how I felt on the day in regards to style I was trying to project. ‘Jungle Chic’ evolved a number of times throughout the year, until I finally found what I looking for.

Is there an essential track in your sets at the moment’

Not really’ there is too much good music to name but one!! Everything is essential, from the fist track to the last. You’ve got choose something special to open your sets with, and your last track needs be a souvenir.

Would you like to tell us what you have in store for 2016′

I have been producing lots of new material at the moment, which should be ready for release really soon. I have a few new EP’s on the way, as well as collaboration with a number of talented artists. The releases are going be a blend of techno and deep house, with some of the releases having a touch a reggae. I really love a Challenge, I Just love to mix all kinds of music together.
