Kaluki launches exclusive monthly podcast with British Airways
Radio | 02.05.2019A leading light within Manchester’s revered underground scene, house and techno franchise Kaluki will be taking their sounds airborne as they launch a brand new and exclusive monthly podcast on board every British Airways flight commencing from 1st May 2019.
Tried and tested around the globe, Lee Spence, better known as Pirate Copy, transitions his hottest underground selections from the dance floor through the airwaves in the sky with 60 action-packed minutes of Kaluki Radio.
Referencing his energy-fuelled club sets which will include a soon-to-be-announced summer residency in the world’s party capital of Ibiza with Kaluki, Pirate Copy will be dissecting the very best cuts from the underground and providing the customers of British Airways with a telling insight of what to expect from Kaluki shows around the globe in 2019.
As travellers strap themselves in for the opening episode, the next few months will feature music from a wealth of the underground’s finest selectors including Pirupa, Leftwing:Kody, Max Chapman, and of course, Pirate Copy himself. Speaking about the launch of the podcast, Lee said:
‘We’ve spent the last thirteen years building Kaluki up from a one-off club night at Sankeys Soap in Manchester, into a brand which is recognised all over the world. The radio show is a great window into what we do and an example of the vibe which fuels what we do, so to see it featured on board flights of such a prestigious and respected airline like British Airways is a huge moment for us.’
13 years of Kaluki has seen them establish a brand territory with more than 234 events across 24 countries around the world. Another proud merit for one of electronic music’s most exciting brands, Kaluki Radio will offer them an international springboard accessing them to an even bigger global audience.
In what promises to be their busiest year to date, Kaluki’s 2019 tour dates will see them host parties in Barcelona, Ibiza and North America alongside their own festival stages at the likes of We Are FSTVL and Parklife.
