Kaluki & WHP presents: Marco Carola @ Albert Hall, ManchesterClub | 14.11.2018
Anyone who has spent time in Ibiza over the last seven years will understand the unrivalled anticipation that Fridays bring when house and techno juggernaut, Marco Carola, lands at Amnesia for his Music On parties. An institution on the island, every event is a guaranteed roadblock and because the Italian’s performances in the UK are so few and far between, when we say that Kaluki is bringing Marco Carola to the Albert Hall in Manchester for a one-off show on February 8th 2019, you know that this is something to get excited about.
Over the last 13 years, Kaluki has become a cornerstone of Manchester’s nightlife and having programmed stages at Hideout, Parklife and BPM this summer alone, as well as announcing huge plans to celebrate their 13th birthday in the Manchester this December, it makes perfect sense for the crew to be the ones who bring the techno don back to the city after selling out his 2018 show at the same venue.
With a view to recreating the electrifying atmosphere that makes Music On the go-to party week in week out, the Albert Hall’s terrace-like layout will ensure an intimate event that is bouncing from start to finish with a familiar energy and Carola at the helm. Expect him to go all in with a relentless display of rolling grooves, thundering techno and a few of his customary surprises thrown in to ensure this is the city’s most talked-about show for weeks to come.
Joining him on the night will be two of New York’s finest, in the shape of Jesse Calosso and Jean Pierre, who between them have released on Cuttin Headz, Desolat, Tuskagee and Deeperfect, and have a reputation that has the building’s foundations shaking already. Alongside, we have Manchester favourites and Kaluki residents, Pirate Copy and Calvin Clarke who will be making sure that the home crowd is fired up for what is already looking like 2019’s most anticipated event.
