Revered for his mesmerising DJ sets and uniquely memorable productions, electronic artist Matthias Meyer expands his range further, launching his new imprint Strangely Enough. 
 
The label will be a platform for his own diverse sound explorations, while releasing special collaborations with some of his favourite producers ‘ names to be announced soon. 
 
‘The label allows me to explore different realms of production with added freedom,’ Matthias says. ‘In my DJ sets, you find lots of different elements, from deep house to breakbeat, hip hop to trance. I want to include these aspects in my productions going forward. Unique music but still deep, with lots of energy.’
 
Strangely Enough’s eponymous debut release is the epitome of Matthias’ vision, showcasing his varied musical palette. 
 
The title track combines a dark vibrant groove with haunting vocal fragments. A powerful weapon in expert hands, this cut sits in that indefinable space between the dance floor and the after party, heralding those legendary moments in Matthias’ long afterhours sets at his Watergate residency or in far flung lands from the Sahara desert to Bahrain. Catchy from the off, ‘Fantazy’ continues the theme of refusing to commit to just one style, going from breaks to driving house, with an almost defiant emotive breakdown.
