- 1983 (Street Dance)
Snatch! Records | 24.05.2015
Brought to life in 2010, Snacth! celebrate 5 years of releasing tracks with ‘Square Pegs, Round Holes’, lead by the Riva Starr and features artists such as Tuccillo, Pirupa, Ki Creighton and Santos. The album boasts 15 previously unreleased records and 15 SNATCH! classics. ‘1983 (Street Dance)’ is the track in question and its a dance floor shaker.
Riva Starr has moved towards that new age house sound, which has really been leading the club scene for the last 2/3 years. With a future release on Hot Creations with long term friend Santos. He has started to experiment with this new sound, its paying off.
1983 (Street Dance) is a groovy little number, with a delicious kicking bass line and some tight high hats and percussion. The breakdown is off the walls, with a huge rolling clap to pump back into an earth shaking kick drum.
Square Pegs, Round Holes: 5 Years of SNATCH! has been personally compiled and mixed by Riva Starr and includes 15 previously unreleased records, as well as 15 of the best-loved tracks from the label’s history: a fitting celebration of an imprint without which the dance music landscape would be decidedly less diverse.
