Fabric to close its doors till matters have been resolved

Club | 15.08.2016

Last Friday’s announcement that the London super club, would be closing the weekend after two 18 year old teenagers died within and around the premises from two previous events. This closer has now been extended indefinitely until Fabrics license can be reviewed from Islington Council.

The latest request comes from the London police team investigating the deaths, to review the safety of clubbers at the club. Fabric agreed not to contest the application.

‘Officers felt the need to act due to concerns about the safety of those attending the club because of the supply of class A drugs in the venue and the recent deaths of two young men linked to the club. – Metropolitan Police’

“For the past two years fabric has operated without incident but tragically in the past nine weeks two 18-year-old boys have died as a consequence of drug overdoses. In order to understand how this has happened we have agreed with the police and other agencies to suspend our operation whilst we investigate. The club will therefore be closed this weekend. – Fabric Statement”
