Paradise City Festival completes the line-up for the 2018 edition, which takes place from June 29th to July 1st 2018 at the Castle domain of Ribaucourt in Belgium. The latest names to be added are Tony Allen & Amp Fiddler, Henrik Schwarz (Live), Joris Voorn, Lil Louis, WhomadeWho (Live), Worakls, Acid Arab, Byron the Aquarius, Patrice Baumel, Joey Anderson, Studio Barnhus, Session Victim, Trance Wax aka Ejeca, Willow and many more.
Paradise City Festival leads the way when it comes to green energy, limited waste, locally sourced food and sustainability. It is an award winner recognised for its effort to be socially and environmentally responsible and has once again made moves this year to improve its own already high standards.
Each year Paradise City offers a fine selection of artists for there live stage, this year’s edition has seen them take it one step further with even more focus on live acts and full concerts from electronic bands. These include Whomadewho, who will come with the full live band and present their new album, Rodriguez Jr with singer Liset Alia, much heralded producer Romare will be showcasing his new live act, plus local heroes Haring & DC Salas all bring a full live band to present their own shows. Paradise City melds the finest of live acts and DJs to present a plethora of the electronic scenes finest talent.
As well as this, heading up this final wave of names are three legends in the form of afrobeat founding father Tony Allen’who plays a very unique live set with Detroit funk pioneer Amp Fiddler, a master musician from Moodymann’s Mahogany label’house music founding father Lil Louis and European techno pioneer Laurent Garnier.
There will also be live shows from Innervisions man Henrik Schwarz, inventive deep house from Eglo’s Byron the Aquarius, former Trouw resident Patrice Baumel and the always quirky and off beat Swedish crew, Studio Barnhus, as well as Paradise City resident Konstantin Sibold who plays the festival for a fourth time.
For worldly infusions and 303 sounds look no further than Acid Arab, big room techno will come from Rejected label boss and Dutch artist Joris Voorn while Ejeca plays as Trance Wax. New York’s meditative techno talent Joey Anderson and new school star and Workshop artist Willow, as well as many more, and you have a broad musical spectrum with a tasteful mix of big name stars and exciting breakthrough talents such as Perel and Satori.
The venue for all this is a stunning park with a historic castle at the centre. It is just 15 minutes from the city centre of Brussels and is is an ecological dream with breathtaking views that encourages you to think about greener ways to live life. Already announced are special sets including Call Super B2B Objekt, Bedouin, Denis Horvat, DJ Koze, Jennifer Cardini, Kink, Laurent Garnier, Omar Souleyman, Or:la, Jayda G, Red Axes live and Romare live band, so Paradise City festival 2018 looks to be the best yet.
