With his next release on Family Planning, unstoppable UK artist ABSOLUTE. has delivered what feels like one of the festival anthems for the summer ahead.

Right now, ABSOLUTE.’s current single, ‘String Theory’ is making a huge impact. Scoring one of Pete Tong’s first Essential New Tunes of 2020 was a great sign, but when Annie Mac called it a ‘very important record’, the 3rd time she played it on her Radio 1 show, the buzz seems to have cemented. All in all ‘String Theory’ has been played nearly 15 times across R1 and R6 specialist shows and this achievement was recently crowned by BBC Introducing, who included him in their 10 breakthrough electronic acts to watch in 2020.

All this comes hot on the heels of a well-received remix on Ninja Tunes’ Counter imprint dropping before Christmas, a huge house cut on ABSOLUTE.’s own Family Planning label around ADE that picked up loads of R1 support, and ahead of a new remix on Future Classic of Aussie dance band Flight Facilities. In addition his debut live show is evolving organically with upcoming dates supporting 808 State on their UK tour in March/April. ABSOLUTE. will be joining the rave icons on the road after impressing the band when they both played together recently at Razzmatazz in Barcelona. The consistent yet ‘broad’ musical output from East London’s Anthony McGinley aka ABSOLUTE. has caught the ears and support of an equally enviable array of tastemakers such as: The Black Madonna, Tiga, Midland, DJ Tennis, Amelie Lens, Sasha, Jackmaster, Skream and more…

Now, ABSOLUTE. is set to deliver what feels like his biggest record to date. ‘My Love’ is built on a foundation of classic techno drums and 808 percussion topped by an emotive combination of melody and powerful strings that wrap around a simple lamenting vocal asking ‘Is my love not good enough”. The clever and colourful touches of bird sounds, the bassline melody and the louche claps all help build an emotional connection whilst remaining locked into larger dance floor spaces. This big and heart-swelling track is stuffed with feeling and has all the hallmarks of a timeless production that is set to stand out on stages around Europe this festival season.
