Archie Hamilton welcomes the talented and fast rising UK artist ADR to MicroHertz, as ADR drops a statement EP of 4 stylish and elegant club tracks titled ‘Fresh Off The Press’

Not many artists can say they were discovered and brought onto the scene by BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac, but that’s just what happened with UK artist ADR. Landing his Radio 1 play at just 18, ADR received personal support from Annie Mac on her Friday Radio 1 show. He was then signed by the prestigious Cr2 Records releasing his debut single ‘Acid Riot’ which saw support from industry heavy weights such as Jamie Jones, Annie Mac, Richy Ahmed and Mark Knight to name just a few. Now he joins the ranks of Archie Hamilton’s powerhouse minimal / deep tech imprint MicroHertz to showcase his latest work.

On the title track ‘Fresh off the Press’ ADR delivers a light and airy track with a funky and floaty feel. This is perfect for more daytime venues where elegance and a happy flavor are a must, yet also making sure he keeps this firmly on a underground tip, which for sure will find its way in to many a DJ set over the coming months.

Next up is ‘One Whole Thing’ an acid roller with an old school influence. As always with ADR tight production and crisp beats are the order of the day. This is a track that is perfect for those with a discerning ear for underground house music that takes you on a journey Following on is ‘Jettin’ which has an old school electro flavour to the beats, which immediately makes this stand out. Add to that bouncing and rolling organ bassline and you have a track that get people Jettin’ to the dance floor fast to enjoy this on a big soundsystem.

The EP finishes with the ‘Before Midnight Mix’ of ‘One Whole Thing’ where ADR showcases his knowledge and studio prowess by creating a very old school sounding version of an already great track, Think Ron Trent, Chez Damier and you’ll get the idea of how classy this track is. Sumptuous, subtle, and smooth as silk chocolate, ADR rounds off this EP with a stunning track for those who want to create an awe-inspiring atmosphere of exquisite house music.
