Ecuador’s Andre Salmon and Jose Wated offer up three diverse house tracks in the shape of the ‘Miss Kun Tea, High Streets’ EP this February, one of which features Leftroom label-head Matt Tolfrey.

The release sees the two producers back together again after various collaborations on Andre Salmon’s debut LP on Dear Deer Black and output on the likes of Laboratory, Dog , Gooseneck Records and Berberis. This time round they’re joined by the labels founder Matt Tolfrey, the ever in demand DJ who’s touring schedule see him playing regular gigs across America, and Europe, while also running Leftroom and managing various other labels as well.

The release opens with the tweaky electric groove of ‘Miss Kun Tea, High Streets’ from the duo and Matt Tolfrey, fusing a distorted glitched out spoken word with shuffled tones and bumpy drums before the dub mix follows stripping things back as the name would suggest, keeping the charged rhythm of the original, but chopping up the lyrics.

‘King Bong’ rolls in after, full of thunderous beats and clanking percussion that are met by an oscillating synth which slowly works its way into the funky guitar tinged ‘We Are Hot!’ from Andre Salmon alone, laden in disco elements and memorable vocal snippets.
