Carlos Sanchez, Sizeup and Monoky & Luis Miranda assemble for the second instalment of Hottrax’s Paradise series.

Following on from the first ‘Paradise’ release featuring POPOF, Rafa Barrios and Kiki, not to mention Paradise Ibiza founder and Hottrax label boss Jamie Jones, the label’s second outing will feature three more quality cuts. Up first is Lowwax founder Carlos Sanchez, who’s known for releasing on labels like Roush, Home Invasion and Blind Vision. From the off, ‘Rigmarole’ is an intricate number designed for wonky dancefloors at their peak courtesy of its meandering bassline, rattling percussion and distorted vocals.

Hot Creations and Material artist Sizeup is next with a swinging slice of house music entitled ‘Calypso’ which comes complete with thudding kicks and rising synths, as well as a cacophony of rims and atmospheric pops. Tying it all together, Monoky & Luis Miranda team up again for ‘Leggo’ which marches forward using shuffling hats, murky stabs and various subtle effects.
