Jack Revill aka Jackmaster gets the nod for the next episode of the DJ Kicks compilation series. Glaswegian and cofounder of the acclaimed ‘Numbers’ imprint. The house and techno DJ/producer stirs up a delight on this one.

The compilation features exclusive records from artists Tessela, Alcatraz Harry and Denis Sulta. Going through numerous attempts of creating the mix, before Jackmaster lost his record bag in a taxi in the Caribbean. Jackmaster went back through his old record collection in his flat and the results do not disappoint.

‘The mix is influenced heavily by how I used to DJ at the first party I ever promoted, named Seismic, and another named Monox which was a straight up techno night where I was a resident from the age of 17. And although it wasn’t my plan, it turned into a kind of tribute to the cities that really formulated me as a DJ: Detroit, Chicago and Glasgow. – Jackmaster’

His status in the underground music scene is notable, with a stand out 5th position in the RA top 100 Dj’s, and this mix cements why.
