Kevin Over joins Anja Schneider’s mobilee collective and follows up last year’s critically acclaimed ‘Face Off’ EP, with a strong three-tracker for the label.

When Kevin Over played for mobilee at Watergate in March this year, not only had the then-24 year old never set food in the club, likewise he’d never met Anja Schneider, despite the label founder having been one of his biggest supporters, releasing an EP each on mobilee and its sister label Leena Music in 2015.

The night would go down as a career highlight for Over, who expertly warmed up the club floor, before Schneider took over to deliver a peak-time blinder in what was one of the most special Berlin-based showcases in recent memory. As is tradition, a round or three of pfeffi’s were ordered at 7am ‘ and Kevin and Anja chatted into the bleary hours of the morning. As musical first dates go, both were smitten.

Three months later, they’re making it official, with Kevin set to join mobilee for bookings covering Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Spain.

The ‘Dakota’ EP continues Kevin’s rich vein of form, having released stellar EP on labels such as Truesoul, Get Physical, Noir, VIVa MUSiC and of course mobilee and Leena Music all within the last 18 months, and while studying in Essen, Germany.
