After another fine season of parties in Ibiza, Do Not Sleep is back with another firing release on its young but influential label. This time Amnesia legend Mar-T and Italian star Luca Donzelli link for two no nonsense tracks and the winner of DJ Awards Best Producer 2016, Emanuel Satie, comes correct with a fresh remix.

Mar-T is the resident who props up most parties at Amnesia and is fresh off the back of another legendary closing party and plenty of memorable parties. As a producer he is just as essential with a big room house sound that sweeps up all who hear it. Donzelli, meanwhile has released on labels like Stolen Moments and Mar-T’s Wow! Recordings, and together they have worked together to great effect before now.

Sampling Sunday kicks things off here and is a bulky house tune with fat drums, rude boy vocal samples and skipping percussion that really drives home the silky groove. It is a pure dancing music that you can feel in your bones, then Through Decades picks up the bass with excellently icy hi hats, rooted kick drums and some eerie synth stabs that bring real atmosphere to the party. Both tracks are masterfully clean and crisp and cannot fail to make an impact.

Remixer Emanuel Satie is fresh off the back of some big hits on Defected, Moon Harbour and Get Physical. His unique take on Sunday Sampling strips it back to a warm and shuffling tech groove with drums that bump and chords that pump. It’s fun as well as functional and rounds out another essential EP.
