Early November will see Tom Budden’s ALiVE imprint release the ‘Urge’ EP, comprising three original tracks from Dutch producer Man With No Shadow.

Man With Now Shadow has been steadily on the rise as a producer and DJ over the past couple of years with releases for Amsterdam’s BangBang! Run by 2000 and One, Shinedoe’s Intacto, a remix for UK artist Copy Paste Soul and shows across Europe at the likes of Berlin’s Katerholzig and Wilde Renate, on his home turf at Studio 80 and further afield to Italy, France and the UK. Here we see Man With No Shadow push things further forward with a three-tracker on Tom Budden’s reputed ALiVE imprint.

Kicking off the release is title track ‘Urge’ which sees Man With No Shadow employ punchy rhythms, swinging drum breaks and bubbling arpeggios alongside a bouncing bass line and expansive vocal licks. ‘Money Talks’ follows and strips things back a bit, laying down shuffled drums with snaking synth hooks, glitched out synth whirrs and jangling bell chimes to yet again create an infectious house workout.

Lastly to complete the package we have ‘Tom Ross’, which tips things over to darker realms with menacing bass drones, robust 909 rhythms and heavily processed vocal swells rounding off the package with a punch.

Man With No Shadow’s ‘Urge’ EP is out on ALiVE Recordings 2nd November 2015.
