The Brothers join forces with Louie Vega and revered Salsa singer Héctor Lavoe this February for ‘Shut The Door’.

The Martinez Brothers have rapidly become two of the most in demand DJ’s and producer acrsoss the globe and here we see them make a welcome return to their Cuttin’ Headz imprint for one of their most accomplished projects to date. Collaborating with the infamous house aficionado and one half of Masters At Work, Louie Vega whilst the vocal additions come courtesy of Puerto Rico’s Héctor Lavoe, one of the most revered salsa singers in the history of the genre.

The ‘TMBLV Main Mix’ of ‘Shut The Door’ opens with the Martinez Brothers up-tempo energy fuelled production style shining through whilst the dynamic and intricate arrangement and processing of Latin vocals from Héctor Lavoe showcases Louie Vega’s finessed additions to the composition. A ‘TMBLV Main Instrumental’ follows, stripping away the vocal contributions to the heady groove alone.

Up next is a ‘TMBLV Beats Mix’, which offers a more refined contrast to the original mix by bringing smooth chord swells and organic percussion into the limelight as the vocal contributions ebb and flow through the rolling groove. Lastly a ‘TMBLV Beats Instrumental’ closes, again tipping the focus solely over to the swinging drums and snaking subs.
