Mason Maynard launches his new label Xscape with two bustling productions across ‘All Over U’.

Having surged into the spotlight following early releases on Green Velvet’s Cajual & Relief, plus the likes of Sola, Kaluki and Repopulate Mars, Manchester’s Mason Maynard has continued to impress. Building a bubbling reputation via his groove-led sound, with champions including Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Annie Mac through to Carl Cox, The Martinez Brothers, Seth Troxler and Skream, Maynard’s ascent has taken him to the likes of Warehouse Project, Space Miami and Amnesia while being tipped as ‘One To Watch’ by Billboard. Arriving fresh from his second appearance on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations, May sees things stepping up even further as he launches his label, Xscape. A platform to showcase global influences amongst sounds from the past, present and future, the imprint’s first release sees the label boss set the tone with ‘All Over U’.

A moody yet resonant cut armed with sharp drums and dark low-slung basslines guided by alluring R&B samples, ‘All Over U’ welcomes a peak-time anthem set for big moments in the months ahead. In contrast, the percussive, rolling ‘Jungle Tackle’ fuses more organic tones and textures with vibrant synths and further vocal work to head right to the heart of early-hour terrace dancefloors.
