Josh Butler and his avant-garde label Origins, bring another slick release from Berlin duo Mat.Joe, with their new EP ‘Sun Goddess’, which also features the vocal talents of Mizbee and remixes from Otistic and label owner Josh Butler himself.

Mat.Joe are well known within the scene having already released big hitting tracks on labels such as Saved, Higher Ground, Realm, Kittball, D4 Dance and many more. They’ve accrued nearly over 50 million streams along the way, with their music always forefront in the DJ boxes of DJs around the world. They’ve collaborated with DJs such as Shermanology, Diplo, Ninetoes, and many more with their music being supported by artists across the genre spectrum such as John Summit, Kryder, Alison Wonderland, Idris Elba, Roger Sanchez and many more.

For their return to Origins, they drop the powerful ‘Sun Goddess EP’. We kick off with the title and lead track, which from the get-go launches into a powerful sub and low-end dance floor beat in typical Mat.Joe style, they add some beautiful uplifting pianos to give this a lush dream factor, with Mizbee and her inimitable voice and heart moving lyrics finishing this track off to perfection. Then we have Josh Butler who gives us an excellent remix of the title track where he drops in his trademark beats and rejigs the arrangement delivering a smooth and beautiful journey

Then we come to ‘Trip Home’ which much like Butler’s remix of Sun Goddess, is a journey with ever-evolving sounds which lead into a crescendo before hitting an uplifting break to release good time emotion on the floor. Then comes the Otistic remix, where the fellow Berliner delivers a tasty remix to finish this package. Otistic has already released on labels like Club Sweat, Toolroom and Kittball and is rapidly moving through the ranks with his careful crafted House sound. He delivers a slick remix giving this a more upfront feel by working the sounds of the original into an even more peak time banger which is set to be a big one this Autumn.
