Madhouse Records returns with the latest EP from RareTwo, a collaborative project between DJ Sneak and Tripmastaz. The four track collection entitled ‘U Played Yourself’ will drop late May.

Raretwo Inc. is a meeting of minds from Carlos Sosa aka DJ Sneak, one of the most influential House producers to come out of the US, and Russia’s Tripmastaz who over the past few decades has racked up releases on the likes of Tartouffe, Bass Culture, BodyParts and Pets to name a few.

Here the duo returns under this joint project alias for more bumpy house workouts on the ‘U Played Yourself’ EP and the title-cut takes the lead, employing the classic bumpy organic drums synonymous with Sneak records alongside a chanting vocal of the track’s title, cut up brass samples and airy stab sequences. ‘Dirty Sanchez’ follows, flipping the switch to sweeping, filtered funk licks, rounded sub bass notes and shuffled drums.

‘Nina Says’ follows next, stripping things back to a combination of jazzy guitar licks, swirling string lines and a walking bass groove before ‘Broke Peepz Got No Servantz’ wraps things up on a more percussive tip, bringing a robust drum workout into the limelight alongside vacillating resonant bleeps.
