Italian label Digital Traffik serves up a new release that pulls together some key and taste making talents. Included on the four track EP are boss man AudioHell, Tania Vulcano, Doomwork and Jose de Divinia. Now into its 11th year, the label has long been a go to outlet for DJs and dancers looking for fresh tech house thrills and this new EP is another fine source of such sounds.
The boss goes first with the punchy ‘Together’ which has monologues about law enforcement over slick rubber beats. The percussion is crisp, the synths are taught and the whole thing makes you move. Next up is Ibiza and Circo Loco legend Tania Vulcano. She is in fine form on ‘Climax’ which is fluid and loose limbed, with scattered hits and windy grooves making you want to shake your limbs. Heavy bass and techno hi hats add to the pressure and make this one a sure fire club anthem.
Then Doomwork steps up with ‘Slices’, a drum lead cut with spaced out synths and prickly claps and hits all making for a fine atmosphere. Heady and reduced, broody and moody, it is a classy deep house cut for those who know. Lastly, Jose De Divinia offers another perfect deep but driving cut with watery clicks, scurrying hi hats and rising synth chords that will elevate any DJ set.
This is a vital and varied EP from some key players in the underground game.
