UK producer Wilda joins Archie Hamilton’s newly formed MicroHertz label for the first time bringing 2 slammin’ minimal deep tech tracks to the table via his new two tracker ‘Only Thing’

The young Manchester based DJ and producer has only released 1 EP to date, which was released on Charlie Banks’ Disculture label, and from where his talents caught the ear of Archie Hamilton, and so Hamilton’s new imprint is where this 2 track EP has found its home.

The title track ‘Only Thing’ is a deep groovy number with sharp, skippy tops and a funky bassline. A Cosmic synth lures you into the first breakdown before the groove drops back in and an acid lead joins the party. Dreamy, uplifting pads are bought back in for the second breakdown to give you a moment to breath, and before you know it, the bass drops back in on the scene to keep the floor movin’ and groovin’

‘Everyday’ continues the trajectory of deep funky groove with nice synthy pads but adds a bit more of a tougher bassline. Filtered piano chords are bought in which adds a nice musical touch while being accompanied by a gated vocal cut for the main breakdown which brings about a nice contrast to the bass once it drops back in.

All in all a really solid EP with 2 tracks good to go for those who like it deep, funky and groovy. We look forward to hearing more from Wilda”.
