ZaVen has a long history of producing quality electronic music, having worked on or released over 200 tracks since his career began. The Dutch producer and DJ now brings his special deep, rolling vibe to Sublease, dropping two tracks of slick and soulful deep house.

Patrol 52 soon drops into its groove, the tight drum programming somehow giving off a loose, funky vibe.

ZaVen then works in infectious synths and pads, providing the perfect background for the sampled vocal. The track is inspired by portophone communication systems used by traffic control police to assemble a storyline in the track.

Star Dust does a similar trick – a shuffling groove unfolds from the beginning, and is paired with deep, jazzy chords, some classic blips and beeps and a gorgeous spoken word vocal musing about the wonders of the universe.

“The song is about star dust hitting the earth and how humankind developed from the universe and was inspired by Mike Oldfield’s earlier work.” says ZaVen.
