Carpe Diem Musica continues to consistently offer up essential club sounds, with rising UK star David Glass next up with ‘Calzature’ to the vastly progressing label complete with remixes from Circus ringleader Yousef and Vincenzo D’Amico.

David Glass credits seeing Yousef play with kick starting his own musical career and since then he has big support from the likes of Pete Tong, releases on Witty Tunes, Robsoul, Circus and many more, as well as playing everywhere from The Warehouse Project to Boiler Room to Pacha. Calzature is a slick and swinging house tune with slinky drums and playful percussive slices. Loose melodies have a subtle old school feel and the pumping vibes flow freely from this one, ensuring whenever it is dropped the floor will hit the mark.

Circus label boss and promoter, globetrotting DJ and hit-making producer Yousef remixes Calzature with a more direct deliberate approach, with clattering hits and mad sirens, turbocharged beats and clever filters all bring lots of rawness and realness to the tech groove. Finally on the package is the eclectic talent of Vincenzo D’Amico serving up a powerful remix of techno in nature but deep, warm and driving in execution. With swirling keys and forceful drums loosening the inhibitions on the dance floor, you can see why major tastemakers such as Marco Carola and Roger Sanchez play his cuts. Simply put, this is another stellar EP from a continuously delivering record label.
