Because Of Art debut on Audiojack’s Gruuv imprint to close 2019 with their four-track ‘Tierra’ EP.

A home for both established names and rising talent, Audiojack’s Gruuv imprint has become a key imprint for many of the industry’s emerging artists since its inception almost a decade ago. Staying true to this ethos, the pair now welcome rising London and Bristol based duo, Because Of Art, to deliver another label debut offering. Taking influences from infamous fellow London DJ and producer Artwork, the pairing quickly begun to create and experiment in the studio, releasing their debut EP on ONNE in 2018 and having since made multiple appearances at Bristol’s Motion alongside the likes of Joseph Capriati, Nicole Moudaber, Eats Everything and Pan-Pot, December now sees the duo release their ‘Tierra’ EP on Gruuv to wrap up the label’s 2019 schedule.

Opening cut ‘The Warehouse’ quickly welcomes hefty kicks, commanding vocal cries and rich piano melodies, whilst title cut ‘Tierra’ fuses breaks influenced drum arrangements with resonant stabs and skipping hats. Next up, ‘Body Realm’ welcomes warm synths as ever-evolving electronics meet fluctuating synth lines and infectious vox snippets, before closing with ‘Back For More’, a bright and lively house cut armed with sweeping lead lines and further piano work to round out the package.
