The excellent New Violence Records welcomes Black & Watky for a pair of great new tracks that come with remixes by Kreature and Kinnerman. Black & Watky are a Yorkshire pair with releases on the likes of Deeperfect, Moan and many others, and they mix up house and techno into bold new forms that counts Loco Dice and Paco Osuna as fans.

Their opener People is a bouncy number with rasping synths bringing raw energy. It drives on with airy hi hats and some great vocals samples that finish it in style. Kreature is the Manchester artist who has long been making waves with his high quality sound. His remix is deeper and more dreamy, with layers of soft synths carrying your mind away into the cosmos as the rubbery drums roll below.

Take Control is the other original and it is a main room affair with sweeping synths and whooshes of white noise that build to a peak that will send the club into raptures. Last of all, Kinnerman brings his slick, shuffling garage house flavours to the table with a remix that reworks the tune in superb fashion. This then, is a fantastic EP all round.
