Origins Rcrds drops its last release of 2021, rounding off the year in style with an EP of delectable cuts from the UK’s legendary duo, Groove Armada.

The UK duo really need no introduction having been responsible for some of dance music most iconic hits such as Superstylin’, and I See You Baby, however since producing those hits at the turn of the millennium, Andy Cato and Tom Findley have gone on to create a large array of edgy club ready tracks and this is the pairs second outing on Josh Butlers burgeoning imprint, Origins Rcrds.

The first track on the EP is called ‘A Little Longer’ and features the amazing vocal talents of Chicago’s Paris Brightledge. A Little Longer is a slick and emotive deep house track which allows Brightledge’s vocals to shine through in inimitable fashion. This has all the hallmarks of a classic end of night anthem, and one that is guaranteed to have the heads seal of approval.

Next up is the second track ‘Work from Beyond’, a deep and evolving house track in the vein of Messer’s Heard and Trent. With a simple yet effective rolling bassline combining with gentle pads, well worked vocal cuts and dreamy melody lead this is an absolute listening pleasure.

Next up is track 3, ‘Brace’, here the duo pick things up and drop tracks for the dance floor. This is a killer cut of underground house with an old school flavor. Teasing in classic sounding pads yet not long enough to give the track a deep house feel, they work the arrangement of the track to perfection with those old school drum machine programmed beats and a grinding bassline this is a high end nugget for the dance floor.

Last but not least is ‘Won’t You Come Back’ is the perfect track to finish off this outstanding EP. Tripped out sounds take us on a journey right from the off, building into a hypnotic groove and growing and evolving until the point where old school M1 organ chords drop in to really cement the track’s identity.
