Steve Lawler’s mighty VIVa Music is back with one of the most assured producers in the game: Hector Couto. Releasing on Get Physical Music, BPitch Control, 2020Vision and more, he has been turning out some of the underground world’s most cherished tunes in recent years, and now comes four more from the Spaniard.

First out of the blocks is Climax, which has big airy drums, loopy bass and an effortlessly breezy groove sliding you along. With great synth designs and a freeform feel, it is sure to get the floors popping. Compagno is more playful, with freaky sound sounds and naughty little bass riffs bringing a cheeky feel to the slapping drums.

Elements then picks up the bass and is lead by glassy tinkles and turbo charged sub bass. It’s warm and rubbery, and encourages you to listen to the hi hat and hypnotises you as it goes. Last of all, Nasty Is Tasty is the most peak time of the lot, with flabby bass and trippy synths all fluidly rolling on and proving themselves irresistible to your rump.
