Manchester’s HUGO debuts on Patrick Topping’s Trick this April with the vivid ‘Set It Off’ EP.

Following releases on Stress Records, Street Tracks, Barbecue, and Another Rhythm, British DJ/producer HUGO brings three bright and inventive tracks to Trick, a label fast becoming the home of new house talent via head honcho Patrick Topping’s canny A&R.

‘Set It Off’ marries soaring synths and twinkling leads with effected diva vocals and filtered bass for a high octane start to the EP, with ‘Grosvenor’ maintaining the energy levels as pumping drums and sizzling arpeggios bounce across the sunny, optimistic track.

Closing track ‘Curve’ heads for the late-night, bringing wistful keys over fluttering claps and vocals to round out the EP with a sense of nostalgia.
