After setting dancefloors alight with his Careo EP on this label earlier in the year, Huxley is now back once more, but this time in collaboration with Hauswerks who debuted on Moon Harbour’s Orbiter release in July.

Huxley has long been one of the most visible artists in contemporary house thanks to his perfectly designed dancefloor bombs. Always served up with powerful drums and quirky samples that make them stand out, here he pairs off with Material, Hot Creations and 1trax producer Hauswerks. Also a UK artist, Hauswerks came up on jungle and rave tapes and has gone on to headline clubs in Ibiza, top Beatport charts and get continued support from those who know at Radio 1. Between them, this pair know how to serve up definitive tunes that always make a big and bold impression.

‘Make It Right’ is first and is six steamy minutes of stripped back house with rising synth tension and mind-melting pads burrowing deep. Well placed vocal sounds and occasional yelps break through to bring release before the thing kicks again and you’re sucked back down into the groove.

The meaty ‘On Your Knees’ is more physical, with whirring synths and white noise swooshes sweeping you off your feet as bulky, swinging drums bring the heat below. More vocal stabs inject further energy and ensure this one is a main room attention-grabber always on the verge of going off.

‘Night Breed’ then gets under your skin with creepy voices, haunted pads and playful drum breaks that tease as they please. It’s a full fat and supersized house tune with thundering bass that will fill any warehouse with all-consuming sound.
