Kwench Records looks to Spain for its next dispatch with regular collaborators Javi Bora and duo Iban Montoro and Jazzman Wax proving there’s strength in numbers as they deliver a loaded two-track outing.

Meeting in Ibiza, where Javi Bora is most famously known as a former resident of Space Ibiza, as a united force they’ve been honing their skills since 2016, with them dropping a stream of groove-packed, energetic house cuts on coveted labels Robsoul Recordings, MadTech, Nervous Records, Simma Black, Do Not Sleep and Reptile Dysfunction, as well as their own imprints Too Many Rules and MoodyHouse Recordings.

Lured back to the roots of house music, they delved into the formative years of the early ’90s as a source of inspiration. ‘Unknown Beat’ leads the EP, hurtling like a lawn dart toward the surface of the moon with a soaring, rapturous vocal, and ‘Glimmer’ slickly cuts in with a jackin’ attitude that completes this raw throwback.
