27th February sees UK dynamic duo Leftwing & Kody release their debut EP on Mar-T’s celebrated label, Wow! Recordings.

Since their formation in 2012, Leftwing & Kody have quickly established themselves as one of the UK’s brightest exports, holding residencies at London’s Fabric and Ibiza’s Sankeys, as well as releasing on labels including Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations, Steve Lawler’s VIVa, Adam Beyer’s Truesoul and via their own imprint, Lost Records.

Kicking off this excellent four-track EP is the title-named track, ‘Wobble’, seeing the duo combine tribal-infused drums with warbling synths, chopped vocals and various manipulated effects. ‘Redemption’ follows, featuring looped vocals, crashing percussive elements and a rippling synth pattern that darts in and out of the six-minute number.

Italian DJ/producer LEON steps in for remix duty, reworking ‘Redemption’ into a deep, slow-burning groover that utilises the original’s vocal snippets and combines these with intermittent pad-tones. Closing the EP is ‘Peak Fam’, a track that once again sees Leftwing & Kody employing tribal drums and percussion for a high-intensity closing track that perfectly encapsulates the euphoric nature of the EP.
