One Records move into 2017 with a statement release for the label. It comes as a two track, split release from label co-founders Adam Shelton and Subb-an both featuring the same vocalist, Isis Salam.

Adam’s track Only Now fills the A-side with it’s 808 drum work out and acid flare, built directly for the dancefloor, while on the flip, Subb-an’s Self Control refines things to construct a more intricate and dubby affair with distinct vocals from Isis Salam subtly defining each track. Originally from Toronto but now based in Berlin, the vocalist recently featured on Subb-an’s release on Beste Modus sub-label Beste Freunde.

With both Adam Shelton and Subb-an naturally moving into new stages of their career, Adam has been busy promoting his new parties, Collective Minds based in his home town Birmingham and Foundation in Rio Brazil, while Subb-an has been hard at work in his Berlin studio with new releases seen on the likes of Cabinet, Blind Box and Beste Freunde. This next joint effort on their label showcases where they each stand musically and as a collective with the label moving forward.

Subb-an can be heard dropping ‘Self Control’ at the very beginning of their set.
