MicroHertz is pleased to finally welcome label owner, Archie Hamilton, to the seminal imprint with his Motion Lotion EP, a two tracker of dance floor weapons that all DJs will need in their armoury for the rest of the year.

Archie Hamilton should need no introduction, having taken his place as one of the scene’s most important tastemakers over a decade ago. He has been quintessential in the creation of the European take on the minimal House and techno sound. This has allowed him to perform at the world’s most important venues, festivals and brands, such as Sunwaves (Romania), Fabric (UK), DC10 (Ibiza), Music On and elrow (Worldwide) and he has furthermore cemented his place in North and South America with many recent tours through both continents in recent times.

To begin this EP Hamilton drops ‘Motion Lotion’, which starts with plenty of swing and jack to the beats before he adds a driving sub bassline some commonly associated with his productions. Throw in some well worked acids lines, percussion and vocal hooks and you have a track that’s going to take many people on a journey for not only the rest of the summer but the rest of the year-

On the flips he throws down ‘Beat Back’. Simple yet effective, this is a brooding sidewinder of intrepid sounds taking you on an eerie and cool voyage where only the most discerning listeners dare to go and Hamilton delivering the perfect B-Side for the headz and thus completing this EP in a way that sums up the MicroHertz sound in a nutshell.
