The prolific producer is also known for guest vocal and remix work. Now with the superb ‘Fix My Bike’ Joyce Muniz makes her debut for the Los Angeles-based Culprit.

Joyce Muniz has been one of the most exciting new talents coming up in the global House music scene of the last five years. From her base in Vienna, Austria, this Brazilian artist has made big waves with a series of releases on Exploited ‘ for whom she’s a key artist, 20/20 Vision and Warung.

The release’s pair of originals showcase two distinct but complimentary sides to Joyce Muniz’ sound. ‘Fix My Bike’ is her patented low-slung, midtempo house groove ‘ flawlessly funky and bright, but with a harder edge supplied by a rumbling bassline riff. The type of a track that would favor in DJ sets of the likes of Till Von Sein ‘ who, as it happens, provides the remix here. Culprit have been huge fans of the German artist for many years and are delighted with his contribution to the release. Till Von Sein adds extra swing, subtle chords and warm analog pads to the proceeding, adopting a classic Deep House feel in a very modern way.

‘Just Kidding’ is the second original that explores the deep melodic Dub territory, but with Joyce Muniz’ typically crisp percussion. The track’s heady feel furnishes ‘Fix My Bike’ with a nice counterpoint and makes for a well-balanced release.
