The Deeperfect Records label kicks off 2018 in fine fashion with a new EP ‘First Round’ from Los Pastores. It features four fresh originals and is another essential release from this always on point label.

The pair of Snna and Nacho Arauz joined forces in 2011 and have had support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice and Ricardo Villalobos, and have released on top labels like (Lola ED) and their own Oblack.

First Round opens up the EP with seven deep and synth laden minutes of woozy, dreamy house. It is a warming tune with plenty of soul in the sounds and will pick you up and carry you away. Appearance is more dynamic and bubbly, with thumping kick and loose tumbling percussion falling down the face of the track. Plenty of breakdowns build tension and ensure a big impact in the club.

Funky or Funky Monkey is another well crafted track with emotive synths streaming and steaming through the middle of the arrangement. The drums are metallic and churning and the whole thing has a spacey feel. Avoid then rounds things out in cosmic deep house fashion with sci-fi synths and spoken word samples as well as slick drum programming.
