MO-Records welcome M.F.S: Observatory as the pair deliver their ’99 Barbican’ EP this March.
A duo rapidly gaining a reputation within both house and tech house, London-based Italian duo Mattia Tuchetti and Francesco Cozzolino, aka M.F.S: Observatory, are entering into the New Year in fine form. Fresh off the back of a year that saw releases via the likes of Relief Records, Roush, VIVa Ltd. and their own Observatory Music imprint amongst others, March signals the arrival of a label debut as the pairing touch down on MO-Records to unveil their ’99 Barbican’ EP.
Title Track ’99 Barbican’ opens proceedings as rolling drums and punchy kicks guide infectious vocal loops and snaking melodies throughout, whilst ‘Become Lead’ sees the focus switched to menacing acid lines beneath crunchy percussion arrangements. Last up, ‘Now I’m Back’ pairs things back a little as a combination of vocal leads combine with skipping hats and bubbling low-end frequencies to conclude the EP.
