M.F.S: Observatory return to their Observatory Music imprint this April with ‘Observatory 0’.
Italian duo M.F.S. Observatory continue to move from strength to strength with their alphabet themed release series, the latest release has seen the pair picking up support from leading names such as Carlo Lio, Andrea Oliva, Citizenn and Huxley amongst others and here we see the guys return with five new dance floor focused cuts with ‘Observatory O’.
‘O1’ opens the package with a loop-driven feel, fuelled by organic percussion, vocal stutters, murmuring vocals and tension building noise sweeps, ‘O2’ retains a similar aesthetic whilst working in choppy synth stabs, bumpys percussive fills. ‘O3’ then takes things in a new direction via shuffled hats, thunderous kicks and a murky sawtooth bass hook which is processed to carry the groove throughout.
Next up is ‘O4’, this time round employing frenzied acid licks and rolling snares at its core as hissing noise and resonant blips drive the composition. ‘O5’ then closes, laying focus on swinging drums, an amalgamation of hip-house style vocal chops and a stab-led bass groove.
‘Observatory O’ is out on Observatory Music 25th May 2018.
