Yolanda Be Cool
- Frisky In Fortaleza
Club Bad | 30.10.2020
Since their worldwide hit, We No Speak Americano, 10 years ago the duo have gone on to playing at clubs and festivals around the world, whilst also collaborating and remixing with artists as diverse as the more commercially known Aloe Blacc, Nile Roger, or A Trak though to Danish Chill master Kenneth Bager, and legendary vocalists, Crystal Waters and Barbara Tucker. It’s fair to say their musical tastes are as broad as their smiles.
In recent years they’ve created many a dance floor release featuring on labels like Repopulate Mars, Solotoko, Sola, Kittball and of course their own labels Sweat It Out and Club Sweat.
For their debut release on Club Bad, they’ve produced a cracker of an EP. It’s pure house music with touches of afro, percussion and a large slice of fun. The first track in the EP is Frisky in Fortaleza, with its afro percussive groove and latin vocal cuts, this is a booty shaker guaranteed to put smiles on faces.
The flipside is titled, Mr Saindo, with its growly bassline powering the track along to the sounds of tight hi end filtered percussion., Bring in the insanely catchy vocal hook, in the breaks this is a track that stands out of the crowd by a country mile.
With Melé bringing in big names so early in the labels life, this shows Club Bad means business and it make the label one that you definitely need to keep an eye open for.
