Summer is in the peak of the season, and the tunes are certainly rolling in now. The AVOTRE label, owner Santé teams up with sparring partner Sidney Charles to bring a collection of tracks which they have been supporting for some time. AVOTRE Presents Ibiza Heat features artists Montel, Mennie, Kuo Climax and Ale Castro

Along the way, the likes of classic house producer Montel offers ‘Body Music’, which is a physical hose cut with thudding kicks and groove laden percussion. Mennie keeps it deep and old school flavoured with the slow jack of ‘Organica’ and Locklead offers up a whacked out, sketchy and playful track that is all lo fi and grainy, bumpy and raw.

Kuo Climax’s ‘Breakdown’ is a high pressure, high impact track with alien synths, sic fi sounds and massive, barreling drums that thud with a real sense of presence. Prado pulls a similar trick with the bombastic grind of ‘Back2Back Last Break’ and its flappy snares, rapped vocals and whirring machine sounds, and last but not least Ale Castro’s ‘Schubkraft’ keeps things decidedly deep and retro with hubby basslines, airy hi hats and big splashes of cymbal all riding next to a wub-wub bassline that will sends hands in the air.
