Fresh new AVOTRE signing KATJA has wasted no time making a name for herself as an artist to sit up and take note of. Since breaking through via a number of roadblock AVOTRE shows, and now a stand out EP, the Berlin resident has become one of the underground’s most hotly tipped artists.

Keeping the tone decidedly dark, KATJA quickly sets the pace on ‘R.A.V.E’ – her debut AVOTRE release. Opening with a big rolling beat and building background synths, the track quickly drops into a thick, main room roller, with huge bass lines accompanying cleverly placed quasar-like synth interchanges and layers of far away vocal samples. Perfectly setting the tone for the four track EP, ‘R.A.V.E’ is set to become a club staple for winter 2016 and beyond.

Adding to the releases package and the first of two remixes, Luca Donzelli steps up with a jacking interpretation of the tech-heavy original. Fusing a wash of intricate hi hats and rolling bass lines, Luca takes the release in a more house-like direction.

Rounding off the remix package, Mark Jenkyns’ masterful rework of the original finds the perfect blend of big room club vibes and deeply soulful bass lines – with a hugely successful edit of the original’s vocal sample rolling throughout the track.

KATJA’s huge techno roller ‘Overtures’ brings the whole release to a close. Her now signature massive bass lines and chopped vocal samples dominating the track from the first few bars and throughout.
